Your Cutting-Edge inkjet cartridge Resource

Inkjet cartridges are extremely popular: most computer users are familiar with inkjet printers, as they provide relatively high quality printing and can be used in a variety of industries.

Below, you'll find extensive information on leading inkjet printers articles and products to help you on your way to success.

The Real Price Of Inkjet Printers

There are inkjet printers for each and every budget. At the low end, you can get a inkjet printer for less than $50. At the high-end, you may have to pay several hundred dollars. However, the purchase price of an inkjet printer is not the single true way to determine how good of a bargain you are getting.

The truth of the matter is, inkjet cartridges are not cheap. An inkjet cartridge for your $50 inkjet printer can cost you 30 dollars. That means that the cost of two inkjet cartridges will be more than the cost of your inkjet printer.

A much better way to determine if your inkjet printer is a bargain is to try to figure out what it will cost you over the period of one year. To do that you have to add the cost of your inkjet cartridges to the purchase price of your printer. To give you an idea of the cost, here’s a simple way how to estimate your cost.

First, check how many pages your inkjet cartridge will print. Then, try to estimate how many pages you'll print each week. Multiply your weekly estimate by 52 to get the total sum for the year. Finally, divide that total sum of pages per year by the number of cartridges your printer is rated to print. This will tell you how many inkjet cartridges you will have to purchase in

a year.

Here's an example, suppose your inkjet cartridge prints 200 pages and you estimate you print 25 pages per week. That means you’d print 1300 pages in one year. If you divide 1300 pages by 200 pages, you’d have to buy 7 (6.5) cartridges to cover your printing for one year.

How much does each inkjet cartridge cost? Multiply that by the number of cartridges you’ll need for one year and you have your yearly cost. This little exercise may surprise you. If an inkjet cartridge cost $30 each, you’ll spend $210 in one year on ink. If you only paid $50 for the printer, that’s over four times the cost of your printer.

If it cost you $210 to print 1300 pages and the printer costs $50, your one year printer cost will be $260. That comes to 20 cents per page. Now do the same thing for a different printer and compare. You just might be surprised.

One more thing… go online and look at some reputable inkjet printer companies. There are quite a few recommended on this site. Check out the cost of their discount inkjet cartridges. These are brand new inkjet cartridges that are guaranteed to be as good as the original inkjet cartridge. They just don’t have the brand name on the box. You’ll probably be able to cut your printing cost at least in half.
